Well, we all need ammenities! But what would be useful to know is what people tend to eat the most when visiting an attraction or theme park. I would do hotdogs and burgers of course, but what else is a popular choice? The Op Genesis JP game's food stalls have side orders, such as salads and fries, but some of the main meals I noticed were Chilli and sandwiches. I haven't decided whether to go for various burger stalls or a canteen/restaurant? Maybe a single indoor canteen among the giftshop and educational facilities would be the best option to start, as at least it'd be warm and dry if the weather should take a turn for the worst.

Do a mixture. A few stalls/booth scattered around the park, a few picnic areas and then a main area where there's a restaurant and the gift shop? Most zoos do that to avoid disgruntled guests.

Pizza, chicken nuggets, fish and chips? Maybe some healthier options for the more conscious parents too. If in a restaurant, meals like chilli/curry with rice, lasagna or roast dinners might be more appealing to some adults that just burgers. Most things will be fine as long as they're cooked to a good standard though. Remember deserts since most people love them, kids especially. Dinosaur cupcakes? Ice creams in the summer?
I think both is the best option but you could start out with just a restaurant and add the stalls later. In winter people are going to prefer to sit down and eat hot food indoors, in summer people may want to get out of the sun to cool down while they eat. I think an indoor area, that isn't an attraction as such, is important. Vending machines dotted about might be good too, people get hot or tired while walking round.

If you do do an indoor area, I feel obliged to point out the velociraptor mural from the first Jurassic park movie. That would look incredible in the restaurant area.
