Dino footprint paddling pool! A place where kids and parent can literally chill out in warm weather. The prints would be cast into the stone pool floor with maybe 6 - 8 inches of water depth. The prints would be highlighted perhaps with a slightly darker shade of colour than the surrounding pool bed to help prevent accidental tripping.

Carnivore or herbivore prints? Maybe both! You could do a trackway of herbivore prints and carnivore tracks alongside so it looks like a hunting scenario. Like this:

Nice idea. I may have to do the prints fairly shallow so nobody trips in them. I don't want them to be just painted onto a flat smooth bed, but recessed with lots of rocky textures to make it seem more thrilling and real. The water depth is another big question? First I decided on 1.5 ft, then 1ft and now I'm thinking just 6 inches to make it safer.

1ft sounds fine. If you're really worried, you could do a shallow end for small children.

^^^ I like that idea. Maybe put like fish from that period made of cement or plaster in the pool or paint some to the bottom.
