Once top idea I have for the educational attractions is to have a 'pretend' science lab with staff working on cloning projects and showing the visitors the equipment and talking about breeding dinosaurs. There could be incubators with eggs starting to hatch out, as well as a young dinosaur in a cage undergoing medical examination (maybe it's sick).
Also there would be info boards and light up displays of real amber and prehistoric insects to look at, including light boxes containing real amber that can be viewed with 'kid friendly' magnifying lens.
I thought about having the large sedated carnivore (Acrothocanthus) at the back of the lab in an outdoor section, that could be accessed through the main lab area.

Will it look anything like this? I think Universal did a baby Velociraptor hatching out of an egg with the assistance of a lab technician who gives a talk as it's all happening. The baby doesn't seem very real though, and it's hard to imagine the tech would hold the baby in that way if they're multi-million pound creations! Looks to me like the baby could fall out at any time, and she wouldn't even know it until it's too late.

That science lab is very similar to what I had in mind. I didn't consider the raised platform though, just a walk-through on ground level.

You could do all kinds of dinosaur eggs, kept in incubators and have pretend X-ray scanners showing the embryos inside moving around a little. Anoter idea that'd be neat is large dead embryos kept in preservation cylinders (like in JP3) with maybe lights to illuminate the bodies in the fluid.

Have you considered what eggs you're gonna used? As in real bird eggs or synthetic ones?
Maybe you could have an a joined 'hatching pool' for some resent baby aquatic-dinosaurs? (Even if they didn't lay eggs, IRL you'd try to keep as many babies alive as possible)

Interesting idea on the hatchling pool! The eggs I intend to use for the dinosaurs may be a combo of both, so real large bird eggs and dinosaurs eggs (artificial of course).

Fair enough Ostrick and emu eggs are very easy to come by for the real ones
