At zoo's and animal parks there are educators who go around with small animals for guests to interact with. One thing that would be simple and effective would be the same thing with smaller prehistoric creatures. Some things have been seen like baby dinosaur in blankets but I propose something better.
As with educators that display birds like falcon and hawks, we could have actors with small preorders. The principle can be used with other creatures as well. For this example I will use Pteradactylus. The actor would have the puppet, operated by wires, on a gloved hand. A support on the wrist will keep the glove straight (the glove extends a few extra inches) with the puppet on top. The actor's real fingers will be inside the Palm of the glove operating the creature.
Using simple wire puppet techniques the actor can manipulate the head, eyes, mouth and wings using a single hand, everything hidden by the glove. Small dinosaurs can also be used to this effect.
